“Angklung is Indonesia” merupakan program Kampanye untuk menjamin keberadaan angklung, serta meningkatkan kesadaran publik di tingkat lokal, nasional dan international akan pentingnya pelestarian angklung sebagai warisan budaya tak benda
Program ini merupakan sebuah upaya nyata dalam menjawab kriteria-kriteria yang diajukan oleh UNESCO dalam nominasi Angklung Indonesia. Rentang waktu pelaksanaan program berlangsung sepanjang Bulan Maret hingga Desember 2010, dengan tujuan utama untuk mendapatkan dukungan publik secara luas dalam upaya pelestarian dan pengembangan angklung, mengkomunikasikan kepada khalayak luas proses pendaftaran angklung sebagai warisan budaya tak benda asal Indonesia, dan sekaligus untuk mendapatkan dukungan dari kalangan stakeholder terutama Pemerintah, Legislatif, Yudikatif, LSM dan Intelektual yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan opini publik angklung.
Adapun target sasaran program kampanye “Angkung is Indonesia” meliputi:
- Kalangan Pendidikan (Murid, Guru); melihat angklung sebagai media meningkatkan beragam nilai dan fungsi pendidikan
- Komunitas (angklung,seni & budaya); berfungsi sebagai sumber pendapatan, sebagai identitas kebudayaan
- Pemerintah ; melihat angklung sebagai aset kultural dan sumber penggerak ekonomi
- Media ; melihat angklung sebagai sumber berita
- Bisnis; melihat angklung sebagai sumber bisnis utama dan sarana pencitraan perusahaan
- Politik/legal ; pendekatan kebudayaan dalam meningkatakan rasa nasionalisme
Pelaksanaan program kampanye dilakukan dengan kontribusi beragam pihak yang terdiri atas Pemerintah, BUMN/SWASTA, dan Komunitas-komunitas Angklung di Indonesia.
